São Paulo, the biggest city of the country.

Well, so you came to Brazil recently. And now, the first thing you have to do after leaving a hotel room or a house, is to speak with someone. Here, we speak Portuguese. Some brazilians can speak other languages, but it's a little rare, once many people simply don't care or think it's too hard to speak languages like English or Spanish. But, with luck, you will find brazilians who speak German, French, or Japanese! Our country has a miscegenation, so here you can find japanese people a lot, especially if you go at the Praça da Liberdade, in São Paulo. Want to see a pic?

No, we are not in Japan! We are in Brazil. I swear you. Did you liked? But there is a thing you have to pay attention: There are two Praças da Liberdade (or Liberty Square, as you wish to call), one in Belo Horizonte and the other (the pic) in São Paulo. We are talking about the São Paulo's one. Belo Horizonte's Praça da Liberdade has nothing to do with Japanese things.

São Paulo is the biggest State of Brazil, as its city. So you can imagine how much people you have to talk if you go to there. 11 millions. Almost 12, I think. Yeah, I'm not kidding. Its a lot of people! Or, like we say here: "é gente que não acaba mais". But I will explain about our language in another post.

Our people are known by being not so "closed". You can say we are kind of friendly people. But, as we all know, boring and ignorant people are in everywhere. Some brazilians are very ignorant and they can start making jokes and you don't will understand what is going on. So, if you talk in some language and someone starts laughing, just ignore. Nobody is perfect. But we have people who love foreigners and love to talk with them. Believe in me: Talk in english with english people is so much better and cooler than english at the school.

Do you like Rock music? The city of São Paulo has a place called "Galeria do Rock" (or Rock Gallery), which contains A LOT of stores selling T-shirts, CD's, even guitars! There, you can also make tatoos and new friends. And night life, do you like? You have come to the right country, my friend. But the parties here are kind of a little boring place to pass the night. Well, I don't like parties, so I'm saying that... See for yourself!

You can go out in the city of São Paulo by train, subway or bus (the price of the bus is a bit expensive...)... But the better way to walk through the city is going by subway or trains.

And not only the city, but in the whole State of São Paulo, there are the best schools, the best places to work, the best highways...

But the bad thing comes now: I don't live in the city of São Paulo, but I live in the State. Everyone I know wants to live in there. I live in a kind of a boring city, called Praia Grande. You can call it Brazilian Long Beach if you want. I'm planning to record some images and put some videos here in the blog for you. Our country is big, so unfortunately I can only record my city until São Paulo. And there is the chances of the camera being robbed. I will be very careful... But this is only an idea, I even don't know if this is possible... I hope I can bring some different stuff for you.

See you at the next post, where I will try to describe better the people from our country.

Até logo!
